It Doesn’t Define You…

It is said that the choices we make in life define us.

I just want you to know Jon Morrell that your final choice does not define who you are.

You were an amazing young man that had a lot of hurt inside. You were sick just like someone who had cancer. Depression was a hand you were dealt and you fought hard little man. You couldn’t help the actions of others and how they treated you. However you never let others treating you badly change you from being a good person.

I hope all you young adults out there that are being so awful to one another realize that you never know what someone else is going through. Though none of you are actually the one that pulled the trigger that day, your acts of unkindness forced Jon to believe this was his destiny.

No one deserves to be treated poorly. Life is short and tomorrow is not promised to anyone. You don’t need to like everyone but you should respect everyone.

As we have entered the holiday season without our beloved Jon, my hope is that all of you realize that life is short. It shouldn’t matter what someone wears, what size they are, what music they listen to etc. everybody is special in they’re own way.

My Jon had a personality bigger than life.

He loved his friends and family. Jon always sang to the radio, especially to country music.

He loved to make people laugh and smile. He always took his hat off at the table, held the door for people and said please and thank you.

Jon loved his black work boots, camouflage and flannel. He was a huge Batman fan and loved to play with kids younger than him.

Jon loved the Red Sox his favorite player was Big Papi. Jon was a great baseball player himself and loved video games.

I don’t think any of those things made my Jon so different that he needed to be ridiculed all the time.

Jon you are loved and missed by so many. May our loss be someone else’s lesson.

Always stay humble and kind.

Rest easy baby boy. Mommy misses you so much and will never let you be forgotten.

Always on my mind. Forever in my heart. Until we meet again baby !!

I wonder if there will ever be a day that I don’t break down just thinking about you and looking at your pictures.
